Peter Nelson
Peter began training in jazz, ballroom, tap, and ballet at Center
Stage Performing Arts Studio at age 10. While in various performing
companies there, he was a scholarship recipient to the LA Dance Magic
convention, as well as to New York Dance Alliance. In 1999 he won the
Junior National Standard Championship in ballroom at BYU with partner
Mimi Adams (Knell). He performed with Odyssey Dance Theatre first in
their productions of "Thriller", then as a soloist in the 5th Year
Anniversary Gala in 1999. He has completed his third year performing
with the BYU Young Ambassadors, an internationally recognized musical
theater troupe, with whom he toured to Hong Kong and China in May of
2007. Most recently, he worked as a choreographer for the Young
Ambassador Singing Entertainer workshops for high school students that
took place in July. He is excited to be teaching the hard-working
students at the VIBE!
